The Munich-based startup Earlygame operates a German and English-language platform of the same name. Online portal for esports and gaming. According to the company, over 3 million users a month stay up-to-date on the latest developments in esports and get tips on their favorite games. The company has now announced the successful completion of its seed funding round.
"We have completed our crowdfunding campaign very successfully. Not only did we raise over €500,000 within six days, but due to the massive demand, we also oversubscribed to €700,000. This was also achieved – in terms of time – well before the end of the campaign,"
Earlygame founder and managing director summarizes Fabian Furch. Co-Managing Director Leopold Ingelheim added:
“With the crowdfunding campaign, we also thanked our community for the development so far and offered an opportunity to participate in the growth and momentum.”
In addition to the crowd, the Munich-based company was also able to convince other investors: the Winterling family and an unnamed investor from Singapore.
Vision and track record were convincing
Christoph Winterling, Marketing and Sales Director of FC Bologna, explains:
"Earlygame's vision and track record convinced us. We've known Fabian Furch for many years, and what he, Leopold Ingelheim, and the entire Earlygame team have built within a very short time convinced us and was ultimately the deciding factor for our investment."
Furch sees the entry of the Asian investor as proof that the Earlygame sector is an attractive sector for international investors and that the focus of the Startups vote. With the 850,000 euros they have now raised, the Munich-based company plans to further expand its reach. Furch says:
"With further partnerships, we will continue to expand our product offering, maximize our user base, and continuously build our brand. Our goal is always to continue successfully driving our users' enthusiasm for Earlygame."
