Caire.ai secures 850,000 euros

The Munich-based startup Caire.ai is completely rethinking smart health monitoring using AI. The healthtech company has now raised €850,000 in its pre-seed round.

Caire.ai develops a technology, which can determine vital parameters such as pulse, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, or stress level based on a video recording of a face. The system works completely contactlessly and with almost any standard camera.

With this innovation, Caire.ai has now convinced numerous investors, who provided a total of €850,000 in pre-seed financing. The round was led by healthcare-focused VC YZR Capital. Bayern Kapital and capacura, the online pharmacy DocMorris, and Martin Blüggel, a healthcare angel investor, also invested. The company will use the fresh capital to start-up companiesto advance both medical certification and product development.

With its technology, Caire.ai aims to offer the clinical sector faster ways to collect patient vital signs. This would enable hospitals to establish fast, contactless, and fully digital triage systems. Beyond clinical applications, the technology also has potential applications in the automotive industry and consumer technology. This could include vehicles that monitor the health of their drivers or smartphones with advanced features for continuous health monitoring.

A partnership currently exists with the Fürth Hospital, where Caire.ai's solution has already examined approximately 2,800 patients. The startup is also working with automobile manufacturers to test its system in real-world driving scenarios.

Hamdi Belhassen, CEO of Caire.ai, comments:

"Vital data detection is just the beginning. Our vision goes far beyond measuring vital signs. We're exploring how AI can analyze video recordings of the face and other body parts to detect and prevent disease, and provide deeper insights into health status, transforming health monitoring for everyone."
