Million-dollar investment for Peter Park

EXCLUSIVE - An unnamed German family office has invested a "mid-seven-figure sum" in the Munich-based IoT startup Peter Park, as Munich Startup learned in advance from the founding team.

Peter Park intends to use the fresh capital to expand its team and prepare for its upcoming international expansion. It also intends to increase product and sales capacities and establish new partnerships.

The Munich are developing a modular operating system for parking spaces that records the license plates of parked vehicles in compliance with data protection regulations and feeds them into a cloud application. The system thus replaces entrance barriers and enables new ways of using parking spaces. For example, supermarket parking lots can be made accessible to residents at night.

Peter Park: “Experience a transformation towards efficient and sustainable traffic management”

Other services such as contactless payment via app or on-site at the vending machine, dynamic parking space utilization, and data-based parking space optimization are also possible. SaaS solution is aimed at municipalities and private parking operators. They should be able to significantly reduce their costs and increase revenues by using the Peter Park solution.

The company was founded in 2019 by Maximilian Schlereth, Florian Schaule, Patrick Bartler and Stefan Schenk founded in Munich and is located in the start-up center Plant1.

"We are currently experiencing a transformation in both the industry and society, toward efficient and sustainable traffic management in congested inner-city centers. We want to support this trend constructively through consistent digitalization of inner-city space,"

says the founding team. The startup and its services have been integrated into Parkster since 2019 and have now also gained Europe's leading parking apps, Parknow, Paybyphone, and Easypark, as partners.
