Apply now for the virtual Start Demo Day

At the Start Demo Day, which will be held entirely virtually this year, 500 startups will have the chance to pitch to 250 investors from Europe and the US. Those interested in participating can apply until August 2nd.

The virtual Start Demo Day will take place on August 25. The day will feature Q&A sessions with investors, keynote speeches from experienced professionals, and networking opportunities. Additionally, 21 selected startups will have the opportunity to pitch to the full audience. Startups can also participate in one-on-one meetings with investors.

Application for the Start Demo Day

Startups from all sectors and at all stages can apply to participate in Start Demo Day until August 2nd. To do so, they must complete the online form and attach a pitch deck to their application. Organizers promise to respond within 72 hours. If a startup is accepted, registration is finalized by paying a processing fee—between €25 and €45, depending on the company's funding stage.

The 21 startups for the live pitches will also be selected from all these applications. The uploaded video will then be used for the pitch on the day of the event. Afterwards, the founders will be able to answer questions from the audience.

To participate in the 10-minute individual discussions with the Investors After the application phase, the organizers will ask the participating startups to state their preferred partners. Investors can also choose from the available options, so there is no guarantee that the desired meeting will take place. Once the matchmaking process is complete, participants will receive their personalized schedule.

The Start Demo Day is organized by the Start Network, a consortium of nine chapters from across Europe dedicated to fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of European students. Founded in 1996 in St. Gallen, the network now has over 300 members in six different countries. The network has offices in Barcelona, Berlin, Helsinki, Lausanne, Munich, Nuremberg, Vaduz and Warsaw.
