Mecuris enables orthopaedic technology to enter the digital age by combining 3D technologies into an intuitive solution platform.

We improve medical care through digitally customized and 3D-printed splints (orthoses) and artificial limbs (prostheses). To this end, Mecuris provides orthopedic clinics and medical supply stores with a solution platform with 3D designs. The anatomy is automatically recognized from patient images (CT scans, 3D scans, photos), allowing medical devices to be digitally customized without prior 3D design knowledge and subsequently manufactured in a local 3D printing center. Thanks to the digital process chain, a 100% quality inspection of each individual product can be performed for the first time (FE simulation), reducing delivery times from 2-3 months to less than 10 working days.

Mecuris GmbH was founded in mid-2016 as a spin-off from the University Hospital of Munich (LMU). With currently 37 employees, Mecuris develops and markets 3D-printed medical devices and the associated automation solution (Solution Platform). Customers include medical supply stores and orthopedic surgery clinics. The interdisciplinary team of physicians, medical engineers, engineers, computer scientists, business economists, and designers combines more than 70 years of professional experience, including 25 years in medical or medical technology research, as well as previous experience from 10 startups.
