Financial injection for bike startup Rebike1

The Munich-based startup Rebike1 has successfully completed its first financing round, as reported online by SAZ Bike. In addition to STS Ventures, business angels Florian Huber, Achim Lederle, and Thomas Knaack are investing a high six-figure sum in the marketplace for used e-bikes.

Rebike1 was founded by Sven Erger in 2018. The platform rents and sells used e-bikes, primarily demonstration bikes or remaining stock from manufacturers or dealers with a two-year warranty on the battery and motor. In October 2018, the startup presented its business idea at the Cashwalk of the LMU EC There, Erger was able to establish contacts with investors. In April 2019, co-founder Thomas Bernik joined the company. Bernik is responsible for finance, sales, and business development, while Erger is responsible for areas such as purchasing and marketing, operations, and the further development of the online platform.
