On September 8, the Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator (BIPA) officially opened at WERK1 in Munich. The program supports innovation projects in the field of digitalization and aims to contribute to building sustainable economic relations between Bavaria and Israel.
Bavaria’s State Secretary for Economic Affairs Franz Josef Pschierer said at the official launch:
"The Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator is part of the WERK1.Bayern, which we recently launched. The accelerator is intended to further strengthen the cooperation between the Bavarian and Israeli businesses. Israel enjoys an excellent reputation as a startup nation, and Bavaria is internationally recognized for its technological innovations. These two partners have great potential, which we want to foster in this joint project. The young founders trained in this initiative will actively shape the future of Bavarian-Israeli economic relations."
The teams of Bavarian and Israeli participants in the accelerator program work on entrepreneurial issues in innovation-led areas, such as:
- Industry 4.0
- Internet of Things
