2nd edition of the Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator (BIPA) in Tel Aviv

The application phase for the second edition of the Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator, which begins in February 2016 in Tel Aviv, has started and runs until December 31, 2015.

The “Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator” supports innovation projects in the field of digitalization and aims to contribute to building sustainable economic relations between Bavaria and Israel. In the accelerator, entrepreneurs from Israel and Bavaria develop customized solutions for entrepreneurial challenges in innovation-driven business areas.

Who is the program aimed at?

Teams of Bavarian and Israeli students interested in founding a company and young professionals with technical and business backgrounds work together on business issues.

Tasks are in innovation-led areas such as:

  • Industry 4.0
  • Internet of Things
  • Automotive/Smart Mobility
  • Health/MedTech
  • IT security

How is the program structured?

The four-month acceleration program is designed to enable highly effective teamwork with the help of virtual mentoring and online collaboration tools. The program consists of a workshop, a virtual acceleration phase, and a final results presentation.

The teams work on tailor-made solutions to the challenges posed by their corporate clients using a structured innovation process. Throughout the program, participants are guided and supported by experienced coaches.

How can I participate in the Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator?

Online applications for the program have begun. Motivated Israeli and Bavarian students, as well as graduates from technical and business programs, are welcome to apply.

The Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator (BIPA) is organized and implemented by Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE), Munich University of Applied Sciences, FOM University of Applied Sciences, Tel Aviv-Yaffo Academic College, and StartHub. The project is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology, the Consulate General of the State of Israel in cooperation with Werk1 and 4Entrepreneurship, and media partner Munich Startup.
