Munich-based parking sensor provider Cleverciti Systems has secured €10 million in fresh capital. The money comes from new investor EnBW New Ventures and former investor SPDG.
Cleverciti missing — unlike ParkHere — Parking spaces not with ground sensors, but with lampposts or building facades. The sensors deliver real-time parking data to parking operators, parking guidance systems, and to drivers via a smartphone app. The startup has been on the market since 2012 and has already implemented more than 30 projects in more than 15 countries. also win some competitions, including the first Munich Startup Award in 2016.

With the fresh capital, the company wants to expand its activities in the US, Europe and other international markets, says Cleverciti CEO Thomas Hohenacker.

The goal, according to Leick, is to build the company into a market leader.
