Munich startups conquer the US market with German Accelerator

Seven Munich startups were selected by German Accelerator Tech at Celebrating Innovation on October 19, 2017, to participate in its US program in early 2018. This means that the state capital represents almost a third of the winners who will travel to New York or Silicon Valley.

Last week, the German-American German Accelerator Tech selection committee spent two days getting to know the 30 finalists personally. They traveled from all over Germany to Munich to present their business ideas in a pitch and face the jury's critical questions.

Almost a third of the winners from Munich

On October 19, the German Accelerator The winners were then invited to the Alte Bayerische Staatsbank to select the pitch competition winners. These will be eligible to travel to the USA with the accelerator program. Some will travel to New York, others to Silicon Valley. A total of 22 startups were selected, most of them, as expected, from Berlin and Munich. The Bavarian capital provided seven winners.

Valuable experience in the US market

The 22 selected startups will have the opportunity to prove themselves in one of the largest and most important international markets next year. Under the professional guidance and support of the experienced German Accelerator Tech team, the participants will spend three to nine months in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and New York City. During this time, they will establish contacts in the US startup scene, expand their know-how, and gain valuable experience. German Accelerator Tech will provide support with office space, coaching from over 150 experienced mentors on both coasts, an extensive network, and regular events.
