The German Accelerator has once again selected seven companies for its startup programs in New York and Silicon Valley. Among them are three Munich-based startups.
At the beginning of February, the final pitches of the German Accelerator for the "Class of Summer 2019" took place in Munich. Seven startups from the areas of Commerce & Advertising, Software, AR, and Infrastructure were selected from 14 finalists. Starting in April, they will receive support on their journey to New York and Silicon Valley. Three of the seven winning startups are from Munich: Carly, Freework and Nordic Nutrition.
190 startups have already benefited from the German Accelerator
Carly develops an adapter for cars that makes it possible to read out various parameters, such as mileage, and to activate hidden functions in the on-board electronics.
Freework offers a tool that allows companies to manage the work of external freelancers. Freework also allows you to search for freelancers.
Nordic Nutrition develops and produces cannabis products from Cannabidiol (CBD). In contrast to the also derived from cannabis Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) CBD does not have a psychotropic effect.
The German Accelerator has already supported more than 190 German startups in their expansion into Silicon Valley and New York, including the Munich-based unicorn Celonis. The German Accelerator Silicon Valley and New York program participants have raised a total of $1.9 billion in funding. New tech startups launch each quarter and are actively supported in their US entry by the German Accelerator teams and mentors for at least three months, providing them with expertise, coaching, and access to the network.
