"The Lion's Den" isn't enough for him. Carsten Maschmeyer, investor and jury member of the successful Vox startup show, is launching a new format for Sat.1. In the new show "START UP! Who will be Germany's best founder?" the entrepreneur is looking for "People with ideas and entrepreneurial spirit“, as stated in a statement by Sony Pictures Film und Fernseh GmbH.
We're looking for entrepreneurs with innovative and exceptional ideas – even without a finished business model or an existing company. Whether it's a creative app, an imaginative tech solution, or a novel trend food – any idea from any field is welcome to be submitted.
Maschmeyer invests one million!
In the show, the candidates, under the guidance of Maschmeyer and his team of experts, must prove in various challenges that they can further develop and improve their business idea and entrepreneurial skills from week to week. The best founder will receive a hefty reward: Carsten Maschmeyer will invest €1,000,000 in the "START UP!" winner's startup idea and co-found a company with them.

“I want to awaken this entrepreneurial spirit and firmly believe that the person is more important than the product.”
Filming for “START UP! Who will be Germany’s best founder?” begins in October.
