The breakthrough award is entering its second round. Startups can once again win €500,000 in media volume from Weka Media Publishing and €18,000 in prize money. The application period runs from now until October 15, 2017.
We are looking for startups whose products or services have already been launched or will be entering the market in the coming year. The industry in which the young company operates is irrelevant, although Weka media tends to be technology-focused. Text and image material, as well as optional video material, are required for participation. Orientation guide serve the participants from last year.

At the breakthrough 2017 award was with User lane Among others, a Munich startup was honored. Matthias Scheffer, Business Development Manager at Weka Media Publishing, explains how the winning startups continue to benefit from the award:

The audience and a jury decide
Startups can apply now. After submitting their application, they will receive all the necessary information for participation. Participating startups will be announced on the magazine's website. Connect for user nomination. Following the public vote (November – December 2017) and the jury's decision on January 15, 2018, the awards ceremony will take place in Munich on January 25, 2018.
The prizes include print and online media volume worth a total of 500,000 euros (in nine print magazines and on two websites), cash prizes of 18,000 euros, and 350,000 Edgar Cards.
