Only two weeks left: Applications for the Strascheg Award are open until July 31, 2017. This year, once again, prize money totaling 30,000 euros is up for grabs.
The Munich University of Applied Sciences’ ideas competition will be held in three categories for innovative business ideas. Ideas, projects, and scientific papers driven by entrepreneurial motivation are eligible to apply.
Registration possible until the end of July
The decisive criteria for awarding the prize are the Degree of innovation, the Market potential and the Implementation prospects The award is endowed with a total of €30,000 in prize money. The first- to third-place ideas in each of the three categories will receive €5,000, €3,000, and €2,000, respectively.
In addition, all winning projects can take advantage of six months of free support and consulting services from SCE Start-up Funding to ensure the sustainable implementation of their projects. All participants receive a personal consultation and qualified feedback on their business idea.
As always, the Strascheg Award is sponsored by the Renate & Falk Strascheg Foundation. The application deadline is 31.07.2017, 23:59The award ceremony will take place at the Munich University of Applied Sciences on October 17, 2017.
Who can participate?
The following individuals and groups are eligible to submit business ideas for the 2017 Strascheg Award: students, alumni, professors, lecturers, research assistants, and employees of Munich University of Applied Sciences. Students and alumni from other universities who have participated in SCE qualification programs and events are also eligible to apply for the award.
The price categories
1. Best business idea from a course
The award will be given to the best entrepreneurial idea from students or alumni that was developed as part of a course at the Munich University of Applied Sciences or the SCE.
2. Best Student Business Idea
This award recognizes the best entrepreneurial idea from students or alumni of the Munich University of Applied Sciences or the SCE, regardless of where and how the idea originated.
3. Best Scientific Business Idea
This category is about the best entrepreneurial idea with a scientific background from employees of the Munich University of Applied Sciences — i.e. applied scientific projects, research papers or results with spin-off potential.
