Orcan Energy: Expanded management team at the Kiel location

The cleantech company Orcan Energy, which converts waste heat into clean electricity, is strengthening its Kiel location. The three managing directors there, Hinrich Krey, Christian Pätzold, and Jens Damian, are now addressing the growing demand.

Orcan Energy develops systems that enable companies to harness waste heat, for example from engines or various industrial processes. The modular solutions can process even smaller waste heat sources and low temperatures and convert them into electricity. To meet the growing demand, the startup will launch its first solar power plant in early 2024. increased its production capacities with the Kiel locationThe production facility is an important component of the internationalization strategy to profitably reduce CO2 emissions from industrial processes worldwide.

With Jens Damian, the Kiel location and the management team has now been expanded to include an experienced member. The manager with a technical background and over 15 years of international professional experience in the aviation industry has established operational processes and locations in various management positions and assumed global responsibility for them. Damian began his career on the production line at Airbus. Since mid-September 2024, he has been responsible for technical operations at the Kiel site. He will manage the production facility together with Christian Pätzold in the future.

Christian Pätzold has been Deputy Commercial Director for the Pursue He will be responsible for all commercial aspects of Orcan Energy's Kiel branch. Christian Pätzold has more than 30 years of experience. Previously, he was CFO for the Merck Group in Stockholm, after working for Merck in Hungary and later in the USA. Most recently, he worked for the Wella Company in Stockholm.
