Apply now: Accelerator program for agrifood startups

Startups working on pioneering solutions for the agricultural and food industry can now apply for this year's Growth Alliance accelerator program. The deadline is September 9.

The Growth Alliance is an initiative of the Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank and the Tech-Quartier on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture. Through specialized programs and partnerships, the initiative supports founders in developing sustainable solutions for the agricultural and food industry. Part of the offering is the free accelerator program for Agrifood-Startups in the growth phase. It is aimed at startups with an established user base that are looking for financing.

Up to ten startups will have the opportunity to prepare for their next financing round and network with companies and investors. Experts and mentors will provide valuable insights and tools through workshops, training sessions, and networking sessions.

Among other things, the accelerator program covers the following topics:

  • How is the VC world structured and who is the right investor?
  • How do you plan your finances?
  • On what basis is a startup evaluated?
  • What should you consider before signing a term sheet?
  • How do you pitch to investors?
  • Financing secured – what happens next?
  • How do you scale a startup sustainably?

The accelerator program will take place over a total of seven workshop days, divided into two phases. The first phase begins this year on October 22 and 23, and continues on November 18 and 19. Phase two will open next year from January 13 to 15, 2025. The venue is the Tech-Quartier in Frankfurt am Main.

Seed to Series A startups with sustainable business models in the fields of agtech, foodtech, and nature-based solutions can apply until September 9. After successful review of their application documents, candidates will be invited to an interview before receiving final feedback on their participation.

Further information about the accelerator and the application process can be found on the Growth Alliance website.
