With the EWA Advance program, EIT Food is expanding its support for female founders in the agrifood sector. The new module is aimed at startups that have already achieved initial market success and are now preparing for the next stage of growth. Munich-based and Bavarian startups can still apply for the program until April 26, 2026, and receive up to €20,000 in funding.
EWA Advance expands the existing EWA program with a service for advanced female founders whose startups are in a later stage of development. This offers Munich-based startups the opportunity to receive targeted support for further scaling.
Focus on scaling and financing
The program is aimed at female entrepreneurs from across Europe. Participation takes place within a cohort format between September and December 2026. During this period, ten selected female founders will work on further developing their companies, focusing on aspects such as growth, financing, and market positioning.
EWA Advance focuses on several key areas. These include the further development of business models, preparation for discussions with investors, and the establishment of collaborations with companies. Additionally, participants are expected to refine their scaling strategies.
The program includes structured training, individual mentoring, and networking opportunities. Experts teach content on topics such as business strategy, preparing for funding rounds, and collaborating with established companies. At the same time, participants receive personalized support to plan their next growth steps or securing financing.
Up to €20,000 in prize money and mentoring
The program concludes with the Demo Days in December, where the founders present their business models and progress. Selected startups will each receive up to €20,000 to support their further growth.
The program is part of a Europe-wide initiative by EIT Food that supports women in the startup ecosystem. With EWA Advance, the organization is expanding its offerings to include a format for startups that have already generated initial revenue or pilot projects and want to further develop their activities. This presents Munich-based startups with the opportunity to network across Europe and receive targeted support for their next growth phase.
