The Energy Startup Bavaria competition is taking place for the fifth time. As part of the event, up-and-coming young companies that contribute to Bavaria's sustainable energy future receive an award. This year's motto is "Creative and Innovative for Bavaria." All concepts that promote a secure, affordable, and sustainable energy supply have a chance to win.
The winners of the Competition can look forward to a total of €18,000 in prize money. First place is worth €10,000. But the competition offers far more than just financial incentives. Participants have the opportunity to network with potential partner companies and significantly advance their startup.
Startups in particular are full of creativity and are developing new solutions for the energy transition. Oliver Mayer, Head of Energy at Bayern Innovativ, is convinced that the path to climate neutrality offers many opportunities for young companies:
“The Energy Startup Bavaria 2024 competition aims to support innovative founders in implementing ideas and projects for a sustainable energy future in Bavaria.”
The competition is a joint initiative of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Bayern Innovativ, Baystartup, Bayernwerk, the Association of the Bavarian Energy and Water Industry (VBEW) and the Austrian Verbund AG.
Energy-related startups from Germany, Austria, or Switzerland can apply online until August 6, 2024. The winners will be announced at the Startup Demo Night on November 27, 2024, at the Munich Tonhalle. The three best startups will officially call themselves Energy Startup Bavaria.
