These Munich startups are ripe for investment

Which startups have the best prospects of successfully completing a financing round soon? We take a look into the crystal ball and introduce you to five companies that are ripe for investment.

Agile Robots AG
Agile Robots was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Munich and Beijing. The spin-off of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) has independently developed and marketed software and hardware products in the robotics sector, including an operating system for coordinating robots and accessories. The startup's robots are currently used primarily in industrial environments and in medicine. Most recently, Agile Robots However, Agile Robots made headlines with its acquisition of the Munich-based robotics specialist Franka Emika, which was hit by insolvency. The company's last major financing round was several years ago: in 2021, the robotics startup received €186 million. The round was led by Softbank, with other investors including Abu Dhabi Royal Group, GL Ventures, Sequoia China, and Linear Capital, as well as strategic investors Xiaomi Group, Foxconn Industrial Internet, and Midas. With that valuation, Agile Robots broke the $1 billion mark and secured unicorn status. In 2022, Foxconn added another €28.6 million ($30 million) in an additional investment.
