German Entrepreneurship becomes Start2 Group

A new name that reflects the group's international focus. Start2 Group – formerly German Entrepreneurship – has multiple locations in Europe, the USA, Latin America, and Asia.

Goodbye German Entrepreneurship, hello Start2 GroupThe renaming of the group to 'Start2 Group' is intended to reflect its international growth and clarify its positioning as a global partner for startups, companies, investors, universities, and the public sector. Matthias Notz, CEO Global, explains:

"Our transformation into the Start2 Group was the logical evolution of our brand: We operate on four continents to foster innovation across national borders and overcome intercultural barriers. I'm very proud of this development because with Start2, we offer a platform that covers all the crucial milestones in the development and growth of startups: from the idea to global scaling."

Since its founding as German Entrepreneurship in 2008, the company has been committed to supporting startups and corporates. Through expansion into the USA and Asia, its activities have grown beyond the local ecosystem: Since 2012, Start2 has been operating the German Accelerator.

Direct access to new markets

In 2016, Start2 expanded its reach and has since offered intrapreneurship initiatives for corporates. According to the company, over 80 DAX-listed companies and multinational firms benefit from the innovation projects and customized corporate accelerators it offers. In 2018, programs for the internationalization of startups from Asia followed in Singapore, and in 2021, Scale-up.NRW, the scaling program for startups from North Rhine-Westphalia, began. At the end of 2023, Start2 opened an office in Buenos Aires and launched its first program in the United Arab Emirates.

"The strategic expansion of recent years demonstrates our success in driving innovation globally. Opening additional offices in key regions such as the US and Latin America is a crucial step in providing startups with direct access to new markets and key innovation centers,"

so Annika Pierson, CEO The Americas, Start2 Group, Inc.

With locations in Europe, the USA, Latin America, and Asia, Start2 provides startups with direct access to key international markets. With the help of its network of alumni, experts, investors, and mentors, Start2 has already guided numerous startups—including Munich-based giants such as Flixbus and Celonis—to success and put them on a sustainable growth path. Claus Karthe, CEO Asia, Start2 Group Pte Ltd, says:

“I am very much looking forward to further expanding our initiatives in all these dynamic regions and entering this exciting new era together with our partners in the Americas, Europe and around the world.”
