“Entrepreneur Of The Year”: Personio’s top executives honored

For the 27th time, the auditing and consulting organization EY has also named the "Entrepreneur of the Year" in Germany. Among the award winners is the management team of the Munich-based HR unicorn Personio.

With the aim of honoring entrepreneurs for their achievements, EY again sought the most passionate and innovative entrepreneurs in the country20 owner-managed medium-sized companies reached the finals. An independent jury selected the winners of the title "EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2023" in the categories "Family Business," "Innovation," "Sustainability," and "Young Companies." There was also an honorary award for exceptional entrepreneurial and social commitment, as well as an audience award.

In the “Young Companies” category, the jury members honored Hanno Renner, CEO and co-founder of Personio, as well as Jonas Rieke, COO of the Munich-based company. On LinkedIn, Racer about the award:

“Entrepreneur Of The Year”: The other award winners

In addition to Personio, the Deggendorf-based power storage and energy management producer Fenecon won both the "Sustainability" category and the Audience Award. The Ostfildern-based travel publishing group MairDumont won the "Family Business" category. The honorary award for exceptional entrepreneurial and social commitment went to the Würth Group from Künzelsau. The medical device manufacturer Bentley InnoMed from Hechingen received the award in the "Innovation" category and will represent Germany in the "World Entrepreneur of the Year" election.

Henrik Ahlers, Chairman of the Management Board at EY, says:
