EY selects the "Entrepreneur of the Year" in four categories: "Family Business," "Innovation," "Sustainability," and "Young Companies." Additionally, an honorary award for exceptional entrepreneurial and social commitment and an audience award were presented.
In the 26th edition of the award, the winners were selected by a jury from among 36 finalists. The founders of the Munich-based startup Air Up won the "Young Companies" category, and the prize went to the six-person team of Lena Jüngst, Christian Hauth, Jannis Koppitz, Simon Nüesch, Tim Jäger, and Fabian Schlang. Founded in 2018, the company produces drinking bottles that flavor water with fragrance. The startup includes, among others, Pepsi, the Hollywood actors Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis and the TV investors Frank Thelen and Ralf Dümmel. Recently Kim Kardashian seen with a water bottle from Munich.
“Entrepreneur Of The Year”: Würzburg company represents Germany in global competition
Vega Grieshaber from Schiltach, Baden-Württemberg, prevailed in the "Family Business" category. Va-Q-Tec from Würzburg won the award in the "Innovation" category and will represent Germany in the "World Entrepreneur of the Year" election next year. The award in the "Sustainability" category went to Jobrad from Freiburg. The honorary award for social commitment went to the Hager Group from Blieskastel, Saarland. Markt-Pilot from Esslingen, Baden-Württemberg, won the Audience Award.
