Fittech Company closes seed round

Isartal Ventures, the investment arm of the Wort & Bild publishing group, is once again investing in the Fittech Company. The exact amount of funding the Munich-based startup will receive is unknown.

Founded in 2018, the Fittech Company is focusing on a "business community for decision-makers in the areas of fitness, well-being, and health technology" with its Fittech Club. Seed financing of an undisclosed amount is now being raised to support the expansion of this community. Investors include again the Wort & Bild publishing house, as well as various business angels such as Mike Lee, the founder of MyFitnessPal, and Alex Kuznetsov of Kodori Ventures.

Natalia Karbasova, CEO of Fittech Company, writes on Linkedin:

"We're using the funding to further professionalize and scale our Mastermind Groups—personal peer advisory boards that drive collective growth in times of global uncertainty. In these regular groups, our members—founders and leaders from the fitness, wellness, and health industries—talk together about challenges, share insights, and help each other move forward faster."

The Fittech Club According to the company, it brings together like-minded people from 25 countries. Prominent members of the mastermind groups include Philipp Roesch-Schlanderer of Egym, Melanie Lauer of Kettler, the founders of Urban Sports Club, Benjamin Roth and Moritz Kreppel, Andreas Arntzen of the Wort & Bild publishing group, Kerstin Obenauer of 4Global, and Marcel Boots of Basic Fit.
