Summ AI impressed the jury and audience at the Smart Country Convention in Berlin, emerging as one of the six finalists alongside Plan4 Software from Freiburg im Breisgau. The winners will each receive €5,000 in prize money and a free Bitkom startup membership.
"This year's Smart Country Startup Award demonstrated that founders can advance the digitalization of government offices and authorities, as well as cities and municipalities. Summ AI and Plan4 Software were particularly impressive,"
says Daniel Breitinger, Head of Startups at Bitkom, and adds:
"Public administration and startups in Germany should collaborate much more frequently and intensively. The Smart Country Convention and the award are a signal to those responsible at the federal, state, and local levels: Digital technologies are the key to addressing current challenges – and we have enough convincing ideas and solutions in Germany."
Summ AI won the award in the Govtech category. "Easy language at the touch of a button" is the startup's motto. With the help of an AI tool, texts are fully automatically translated into easy-to-understand language that is understandable to everyone thanks to simple sentences and explanations. This enables public administration to quickly, easily, and resource-efficiently meet legal accessibility requirements. Just in October, Summ AI secured a seven-figure sum in a pre-seed financing round.
