Science4Life Business Plan Competition: Apply now

Those interested in starting a business in the life sciences, chemicals, and energy sectors can once again submit their ideas for the start of the new round of the Science4Life business plan competition. The startup initiative supports startups from the initial idea to a successful launch. The submission phase for the idea phase ends on October 16, 2023.

Science4Life, the business plan competition for life sciences, chemistry, and energy, is entering its 26th round this year. Participants can expect five-figure prize money, access to a network of over 300 industry experts, and the Science4Life Academy with select workshops and online seminars. Science4Life project manager Lutz Müller is confident:

“At a time when traditional industries are being transformed and political frameworks are changing, startups offer invaluable potential to challenge the status quo with innovative business models.”

Science4Life: Competition in three phases

The Science4LifeCompetition is divided into three phases: In the first phase, the ideation phase, the business idea and its market potential are examined in detail. This allows teams to identify opportunities early and adapt their strategy accordingly. In the subsequent concept phase, the business model is developed and fine-tuned together with experts. In the final phase, startups plan their go-to-market in detail in the form of a business plan or read deck. Each phase concludes with a celebratory awards ceremony at which the best startups are selected. Interested parties and founders can join at any phase or participate in all phases.

Participation possible until October 16

Anyone who wants to be there can now Register online and submit a three-page idea sketch by October 16, 2023. Participants will then receive detailed written feedback from experts on their submitted business idea. The best teams will also have the opportunity to participate in the digital Science4Life Academy Day, where they will receive individual coaching and can discuss and further develop their startup plans with various industry experts.
