Munich Startup Lounge: Meet us at Bits & Pretzels

At this year's Bits & Pretzels, Munich Startup will be presenting itself with its own lounge in Hall B0. It will feature various experts from the startup ecosystem and free ice cream from a crazy ice cream maker.

With Oktoberfest just around the corner, Bits & Pretzels isn't far away. And this year, from September 24th to 26th, 5,000 founders, investors, and decision-makers will gather in the Bavarian capital to be inspired by the Munich Founders Festival. After two eventful days at the Munich Trade Fair Centre, which included the former First Lady Michelle Obama As expected, Bits will conclude on the third day as usual at the Oktoberfest. The focus here is entirely on networking, briefly interrupted by the presentation of the Munich Startup Special Prize, endowed with €2,500, which will be awarded to the best Munich startup at Bits & Pretzels.

Even before the Munich Startup Special Prize ceremony, Munich Startup will be presenting itself with its own lounge at the Founders Festival. In the startup area of the trade fair, Hall B0, visitors can meet various experts from the startup ecosystem on the first two days of the fair and learn more about topics such as startup financing, impact startups, social entrepreneurship, and startup funding.

Munich Startup Lounge – the program:

Day 1 – September 24

  • 10:30 a.m. | Alexander Schmidbauer from the Munich Economic Development Agency
    Alexander Schmidbauer is a start-up and startup consultant at the Munich Economic Development Agency. In his expert presentation, he will focus on business and startup support offerings and present the program Spaces4Scaleups in detail.
  • 12:30 pm | Birgit Siepmann from the state capital Munich
    Birgit Siepmann is Impact Entrepreneurship & Social Innovation Manager for the City of Munich. As an expert, she speaks on topics including impact startups, B2G, government technology, and innovation-friendly tenders.
  • 14:30 | Kathi Bolten and Stephan Zentsch by Keoz
    The Agency Keoz specializes in business processes and technology related to marketing automation and data-driven marketing. At Bits & Pretzels, experts Kathi Bolten and Stephan Zentsch will analyze visitors' needs free of charge and without obligation, offering tips and tricks.

Day 2 – 25 September

  • 10:30 a.m. | Patrick Nathen from Lilium
    Patrick Nathen is co-founder of Lilium and currently works as Chief Engineer for Flight Mechanics. During his expert slot, he will be open to all questions about Lilium itself and will share tips he has learned so far from his own startup.
  • 12:30 pm | Adrian Altomari from Baystartup
    Adrian Altomari is the head of coaching in the digital incubators of Baystartup At Bits, he will share his expertise in the search for startup and growth capital.
  • 2:30 p.m. | Laura Steinke from Ananda Impact Ventures
    As an analyst, Laura Steinke is part of the investment team of Ananda Impact Venture, a European impact investor based in Munich. At the Munich Startup Lounge, she will be an expert on impact investing.
  • 2:30 p.m. | Tim Bäulke and Rainer Knapek from CBRE
    Tim Bäulke and Rainer Knapek from CBRE, a commercial real estate service provider. Visitors to the Munich Startup Lounge who are currently looking for commercial space can get firsthand advice from the two experts.

Free ice cream from the crazy ice cream maker

A visit to our lounge in Hall B0 is definitely worthwhile. In addition to the expert talks, there's another treat waiting for visitors: Munich Startup is offering free ice cream from a crazy ice cream maker.
