Rise Europe brings together startup hubs from a total of 14 European countries. The goal is to jointly build the next generation of leading startups and support their growth into global market leaders. This will help Europe match the innovative power of the US and China and secure its long-term prosperity.
The initiative includes participants from Denmark, Germany, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain, including from Oxford University, the École polytechnique and ETH Zurich.
“With Rise Europe, Europe has a new pacesetter”
The members of the initiative share the goal of a technologically and economically sovereign Europe. Specifically, they aim to work with industry, family offices, political decision-makers, and investors to improve the environment for entrepreneurial initiatives in Europe. In addition, they aim to increase the visibility of emerging startups. Startups should be given easier access to talent, customers, and capital across Europe.
Helmut Schönenberger, Founder and CEO of UnternehmerTUM, says:
"With Rise Europe, Europe has a new pacesetter that will succeed in overcoming global crises and creating a transnational understanding of the importance of sustainable corporate responsibility. We want to focus our actions on people and Europe's centuries-old democratic values. I am delighted to be able to contribute to strengthening Europe as a business location with our international friends within the framework of Rise Europe."
