Too few female founders, too little capital for female founders, states the Female Founders Monitor 2022The nationwide competition Female StartAperitivo therefore focuses on female-led startups: Participating companies must have at least one woman on the founding team or in management. Startups will pitch their way to the grand finale, which will take place on July 6 in Hamburg, in 10 cities and 10 semifinals.
For Munich, One Mission powered by Insurtech Hub is looking for female founders who want to participate in the Female StartAperitivo. Startups with at least one female founder on their team from Munich and the surrounding area who are active in the following areas are eligible to apply:
- Insurtech
- Environmental Social Governance
- Sustainability
Application phase now open
Online applications can be submitted until April 28, with the Munich semifinals scheduled for May 26. Four selected startups will present their business in a five-minute pitch to a select jury and audience of startups, insurtechs, and insurers. The finalist team, which will advance to the final in Hamburg, will be announced at the end of the pitch competition.
It’s worth taking part, and prizes include:
- 5,000 Euro prize money for the winner of the German final
- 500 euros prize money each for the winners of the semi-finals
- 3 startup annual memberships including consulting flat rate from Bulb (AGA Business Association)
- Website audit for optimized user guidance of Bundel.de (UX/UI/Digital Product Design)
- Wildcard for an online pitch night in front of the members of Encourage Ventures
