AI+Munich is looking for AI startups for prototype funding

The Munich-based artificial intelligence initiative AI+Munich offers up to €25,000 in funding to early- and late-stage AI startups. The application deadline is March 28.

AI+Munich supports talents and startups in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) to to promote the innovation density based on this future technology in southern GermanyOne of the goals is to make prototyping easy and affordable for teams in both early and late stages. The focus is on startups that have not yet received financial support from venture capital or a business angel.

The program offers three funding options with a total volume of up to €25,000. The AI Scholarship is designed to help cover living expenses, the Prototyping Grant is designed to accelerate the development and testing of AI prototypes, and the Expert Pool & Funding program provides expert support.

Application by March 28

To apply for funding qualifyTo be eligible, a startup must use AI and have AI expertise within its core team. Furthermore, the projects must address at least one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs). Furthermore, it is necessary to have identified a clear problem, validated it with a potential customer, and developed a suitable solution. Startups that have already received financial support from venture capital or a business angel are not eligible to apply. Companies with more than 10 employees and public companies are also excluded from the competition.

After the application phase, selected startups will have the opportunity to pitch to experts on April 25. Startups that do not advance to the pitch can schedule a feedback interview with the AI+Munich team.
