BayBG invests in Neurotrim Systems

Neurotrim Systems has secured an investment of an undisclosed amount. Investors include BayBG and several business angels. The Munich-based health tech startup develops solutions for the prevention, rehabilitation, and treatment of orthopedic injuries.

Neurotrim Systems was founded by Maximilian Schiff and Rebekka Mirlach and has previously received funding from, among others, the EXIST Founders' Grant. Now, the Munich-based startup has secured an investment from BayBG and other business angels. The amount of the financing was not disclosed.

The healthtech company offers professional sports clubs, athletes, and rehabilitation centers services for prevention, rehabilitation, and performance monitoring. These services include the use of the 'N1.System' developed by Neurotrim Systems, a hardware-software solution that offers personalized and objective therapy and training approaches.

The N1.System is designed to bring diagnostics and therapy together. Using hundreds of measurement points per second from pressure, movement, and image sensors, a complete picture of a patient is created. Pattern recognition is designed to provide insights into incorrect and protective postures, as well as lacking muscle control and stimulation. Exercises performed directly on the N1.System then offer a personalized therapy course, which, according to the company, can prevent up to 25 percent of subsequent injuries, depending on the indication.

Market launch in 2023

Maximilian Schiff, CEO of Neurotrim Systems, is pleased about the current financing:

"We are incredibly grateful for the support from BayBG and the other investors. The investments will enable us to launch the N1 system in 2023 and take further major steps. This lays the foundation for our financing, and we are simply looking for additional strategic investment partners. After the difficult development phase caused by the pandemic and the economic situation, we are very proud of our team, the progress, and this milestone."

Last summer, the Munich-based medtech startup presented its solution to a broad audience at the European Championships Munich. Together with seven other Munich-based startups, Neurotrim Systems hosted the Technology Roof in the Olympic Park.
