Pixel Robotics builds intelligent, perception-controlled robots, tailored to intralogistics. With the help of an AI vision infrastructure, a digital twin of the operational area is created. Using this real-time twin, the Munich-based startup's robots can collaborate autonomously with their human colleagues and automate horizontal pallet transport within the company. The company was founded in 2020 by Johannes and Valentin Plapp.
Now that the robots have been successfully used in several companies and the order list is growing longer, Pixel Robotics has started series production.
“Automated pallet movements bring significant efficiency improvements”
BayBG Investment Manager Armin Makki says:
"The global market for autonomous mobile robots is currently worth €4 billion and will continue to grow due to increasing automation in manufacturing and the growing e-commerce sector. The automation of pallet movements leads to significant efficiency gains and cost savings."
The Pixel Robotics founders Valentin and Johannes Plapp are also convinced of the success of the collaboration:
“We are proud to have gained such a renowned and successful investment partner in BayBG, who understands our strategy and supports our growth in a long-term partnership.”
The amount of the investment was not disclosed.
