Aboalarm acquired by Volders

As has now been announced, the Berlin-based company Volders Aboalarm, based in Munich, acquired 100 percent of ProSiebensat.1 in August. According to the company, the merger will create a new German market leader in the area of cancellation and contract management.

This is already the second change of ownership for Aboalarm: Founded in 2008 by Bernd Storm, organizer of the startup conference Bits & Pretzels, and Stefan Neubig Pursue was launched at the end of 2017 by the Prosiebensat1 subsidiary Verivox acquiredNow the Berlin-based company Volders has acquired its Munich-based competitor. No details of the purchase price have been disclosed.

The two previous competitors offer their customers convenient cancellation of existing contracts and were thus direct competitors. Together, the two companies send out over 110,000 cancellations per month, generating annual revenue in the double-digit million range and operating profitably. Volders' next step is to launch new products for its customers and accelerate its growth. Following the acquisition, the company will have more than 50 employees.
