Bears with Benefits: “We want to encourage more women to start businesses”
Laurence Saunier, co-founder of the Munich startup, says:
"Within four years, our brand has achieved great success and sustained growth, which we now want to accelerate even further through our partnership with Havea. We remain true to our mission: to make the stressful everyday lives of many women a little easier with our healthy and delicious products."
The all-female founding team is also taking on a pioneering role with the transaction, said the co-founder Marlena Hien:
“We want to encourage more women to start their own businesses and actively help ensure that they are more recognized and supported in the still male-dominated financial world.”
The Havea CEO Nicolas Brodetsky can be quoted as saying:
"This young and agile brand, with which we share many values, will strengthen the group with additional digital competencies and the experience of a direct-to-consumer model. With this alliance, Bears with Benefits will become our first brand in Germany, which has already demonstrated its ability to cross borders. Havea will provide the human and financial resources necessary to realize Marlena and Laurence's European ambitions."
