Kekz wins Amazon Innovation Award

Kekz won the "Best Local Startup" category in Amazon's "Startup of the Year" competition. The Munich-based company has developed children's headphones with replaceable audio chips.

Kekz prevailed over thousands of startups across the EU. The products submitted to the competition were judged on their aesthetics, design, and uniqueness, as well as on social, ecological, economic, and sustainable aspects. Munich startup will receive, among other things, a marketing package in the form of a prominent placement on the Amazon Launchpad homepage. The European Startup of the Year 2022 award goes to the British startup Petit Pli, which specializes in fairly produced clothing.

Kekz: “Feedback from children and parents is very important to us”

Adin Mumma and Carl Taylor founded Kekz in 2020 with the goal of providing screen-free entertainment for children. headphones It independently plays the music and audio stories stored on the "cookies"—without a cell phone, without downloading, and without internet. Children can change the cookies themselves.

"Our goal is to give children the opportunity to choose their own music or audiobooks anywhere and on the go—independent of Wi-Fi, mobile network, or their parents' tablet. Through this award and with the help of Amazon Launchpad, we can increase awareness of our products."

says company founder Adin Mumma. His co-founder Carl Taylor says:

"Feedback from children and parents is very important to us. For us, reviews on Amazon are an excellent way to get an idea of how our products are received by our customers."
