About GESS
The Global Entrepreneurship Summer School (GESS) is a global initiative of six universities in Munich, Mexico City and Shanghai. Established in 2008, the GESS program was launched by 4Entrepreneurship, a joint initiative of Munich's four university entrepreneurship centers.
In the spirit of promoting entrepreneurial thinking for societal change, the two renowned “Universities of Excellence” Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich and the Technische Universität München, joined together with the University of Applied Sciences and Bundeswehr University Munich to launch the GESS program, an initiative that has not only had an impact on the students of Munich, but on learners from all around the globe. In 2010, the Social Entrepreneurship Akademie, as a unique network organization, joined the organizing team.
After 8 successful years of GESS in Munich, GESS was brought to the next level thanks to the partnership with Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico), Tongji University (China) and the support of the SAP Foundation.
