The Social Entrepreneurship Akademie is once again seeking students from all over the world for the Global Entrepreneurship Summer School. The application deadline is March 31. This year's summer school theme is oceans and waters. The program will take place between July and September in four cities around the world: Querétaro (Mexico), Shanghai, Cape Town, and Munich.
In just seven days, summer school participants will advance their personal entrepreneurial project and learn how to develop sustainable business models. The goal is to generate ideas that have a lasting positive impact on the world and solve existing problems through entrepreneurial thinking.
Global Entrepreneurship Summer School addresses ocean pollution
The focus in 2019 is on oceans and waterways. Marine pollution is steadily increasing—with devastating consequences. According to the United Nations Environment Programme, every square mile of ocean alone contains 46,000 pieces of floating plastic. 80 percent of wastewater in developing countries is discharged untreated into rivers, lakes, and coastal areas. The Global Entrepreneurship Summer School aims to contribute to solving this problem.
