Supply chain startup Riskmethods acquired by Sphera

Riskmethods specializes in analyzing supply chain risks to protect companies from revenue losses. The Munich-based startup has now been acquired by the US company Sphera.

Riskmethods' software platform uses artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and machine learning to analyze supply chain risks in real time. It also offers the startup Tools for assessing the extent of damage and proactively preventing or minimizing risk are designed to ensure care and reduce risk costs. The startup, founded in 2013, also keeps an eye on the growing number of legal requirements.

The US company Sphera, in turn, offers software, data, and consulting services for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance and risk management. Riskmethods' supply chain risk management (SCRM) solution thus represents a suitable addition to Sphera's portfolio. Details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
