After we have already in Episode 21 After taking a look at the construction industry and introducing six exciting startups, we return to the topic in this episode. Among the more than 1,800 startups in the Munich ecosystem, there are 83 young companies that can be classified as being in the construction and real estate sector. Since 2015, they have raised around €196 million in funding, most of it last year (€88 million). This year, a total of around €6 million has already been raised. Find projects and rent machines
The first startup we will focus on in this episode is Building Radar (from minute 2:40). The company has been providing information about future or ongoing construction projects with its solution since 2015. The startup supports suppliers and service providers in the construction and real estate industries with early lead generation. Building Radar's technology relies on machine learning, data mining, and natural language processing algorithms.
Also an offer for companies in the construction industry – albeit of a completely different kind – KlarxSince 2015, the startup has operated an online rental platform for construction machinery and equipment. It aims to make renting excavators, concrete mixers, and other equipment as easy as booking a flight. Property management, but digital
Of course, there are not only startups that deal with construction. Many of them also have the finished property in mind, and especially its management, such as CasaviThe startup has developed a digital platform for property management and real estate companies designed to increase efficiency and reduce costs. We explain exactly how this works and who is behind Casavi starting at minute 8:15.
Another administrative aspect of the real estate industry has Everreal (from minute 11:00). The startup offers real estate companies a digital solution for renting or selling properties. The goal is to automate the entire rental or sales process, saving time and resources. Prospective tenants are also guided through the process digitally.
The investor Proptech1 Ventures
With Proptech1 Ventures In this episode, we also introduce an investor who is completely dedicated to the real estate industry. Headquartered in Berlin, the VC, which was only founded in 2018, recently filled its first fund with over €50 million. You can find out more starting at minute 13:10.
