With this innovation competition, the City of Munich is seeking solutions to a total of six specific challenges. The most convincing solution approach will be awarded the Innovation Prize and tested in a pilot project. All finalists who present their proposed solution to the jury will receive €500. Upon completion of the implementation phase, the winners will receive an additional €2,500 in prize money.
UnternehmerTUM, the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, the LMU Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center IEC, the start-up center founders@unibw and German Entrepreneurship are part of the competition as cooperation partners and offer the prize winners direct access to their entrepreneurship programs.
Innovation competition: winners receive money and access to the city administration
The application deadline for the innovation competition ends on May 15. Applications can be submitted in German or English. The finalists will be announced at the beginning of June. On July 6, the finalists will pitch to a jury consisting of management from the participating municipal departments and representatives from the entrepreneurship centers. The presentation to the jury should be in German, and German will also be the working language during the implementation phase. The winners will be honored on July 19. The implementation phase will then begin in the fall.
The award winners receive access to the city administration, information, and data to further develop and implement their solution ideas. They leverage the network of the city, start-up support, and entrepreneurship programs offered by the competition and benefit from coaching and the exchange of experience with various experts.
