Since January 2022 In Germany, day-old chicks may no longer be killed because of their sex. Or, to put it another way: Male chicks that have no use in the egg industry may no longer be shredded. To prevent them from being hatched in the first place, the Munich startup Orbem Imaging technologies such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are combined with artificial intelligence.
