The “Energy Challenge Germany: German Startups for the Energy Transition in Chile” is an accelerator program of the AHK Chile and the Bavarian Representation for South AmericaIt is organized as part of the Chile-Germany Energy Partnership. Werk1, Fraunhofer Ventures, and Spinlab are also partners in the program. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and Expande, the Chilean innovation organization for industry, are also supporting the challenge.
The program's goal is to introduce energy startups in Germany to industry representatives from Chile. This will help Chileans gain insight into the innovative potential of the German startup landscape. German startups, in turn, will gain access to new international business opportunities in the Chilean energy sector. Application is possible until December 28, 2021.
The winners of the Energy Challenge Germany fly to Chile
The winners of the program will be invited to Chile to explore business opportunities in the Chilean market and meet with potential partners and customers, such as companies, research centers, and accelerators. They will also have the opportunity to interact with the local energy startup ecosystem. They will also have the opportunity to present their companies at a special event at Exponor, the international trade fair for technologies and innovations in the mining and energy sectors. Exponor is considered one of Chile's most important trade fairs.
