Startup Teens honors entrepreneurial talent

The non-profit initiative Startup Teens honored outstanding entrepreneurial ideas from 14- to 19-year-old students with the Startup Teens Award in seven categories in a double final of the 2020 and 2021 Business Plan Challenges. The Startup Teens Challenge, held annually since 2016, offers seven prizes of €10,000. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 final was postponed to this year.

The pitches of the Startup Teens The Challenge took place in seven digital rooms, each with a jury. The projects presented there covered a wide range of topics. Stephanie Caspar, Member of the Board of Management for Classifieds Media at Axel Springer SE, says:

"The finale showed us once again that this generation has a keen sense for the important questions of our time and is finding entrepreneurial and digital answers to them. I was very impressed by how well the ideas had already been developed and with what competence and passion they were presented. I'm sure we saw many successful entrepreneurs of the future."

And co-founder and managing director of Startup Teens, Hauke Schwiezer, continues:

“Germany continues to lag behind in international comparison,
when it comes to entrepreneurial education in our schools. Filling this vacuum
we have been offering entrepreneurship education, coding
and future skills. We are very pleased to be able to offer 14 exciting and
to be able to honor pioneering projects.”
