Fraunhofer and IAA invite you to the Makerthon

What will mobility look like tomorrow? Makerthons will explore this question as part of the IAA Mobility from September 6 to 10. Interested parties can apply to participate until September 2.

In the Werksviertel at the Ostbahnhof, during the IAA Startups and companies come together under the guidance of experts from the Fraunhofer Institute to jointly outline mobility innovations at the Makerthon. Participants can outline their own ideas in the field of automated mobility and implement them in the form of early prototypes. The goal is also to familiarize them with different methods and tools for quickly and easily developing and presenting ideas.

The Makerthon will take place in daily sessions from September 6th to 10th, with the workshop running from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Space is limited to ten participants per day. After the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to present their developed solutions live on stage in front of an audience. The most exciting of these will then be implemented in the Werksviertel-Mitte district in the future.

As part of the IAA, daily after-work events will take place throughout the Werksviertel district, where visitors can experience autonomous driving and other mobility innovations live, attend expert discussions, and learn about mobility and inclusion. The presentation of the Makerthon results is part of this program, so all IAA visitors can get an idea. The general public is also invited. Admission to all events is free.
