The IAA Mobilitython is a rapid prototyping competition with a focus on open innovation for explicitly working experts in the mobility industry with a focus on data and IoT. Teams receive tasks from companies and have 14 days to solve them in the form of an open source prototype and scalable business plan. Behind the Mobilitython are the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, the IAA Mobility and The Impact Farm as an SME company builder with a focus on data science.
Applications possible until August 25
The challenges are designed to be completed part-time with manageable effort. In addition to €5,000 in prize money per challenge, sponsors Free-Now.com and Fahrrad.de have agreed to continue pursuing the winning solution – depending on the quality level – with the winning teams. The focus is on full-time professionals, post-doc professors, and employees of R&D departments, with an application phase and pre-selection of applicants.
Individuals or teams of up to five people can participate. Participation is free and includes attendance at the conference and the exhibition at the IAA. The goal is to collaborate with industry partners after Mobilitython to further develop the prototype into a product with a budget. Applications are open until August 25th. The actual competition phase will then take place from August 30th to September 11th.
