Quantum Systems secures growth financing

Quantum Systems has been attracting attention for some time with the development, construction, and production of small unmanned aerial systems (drones). Now the Munich-based startup has convinced the 10x Group to invest.

Back in 2017, Quantum-Systems secured first place in the Munich Business Plan Competition with its unmanned vertical take-off aircraft. And it also won first place at the digital award “The Spark.” the startup Already in 2018, Quantum Systems achieved third place. For last year, Quantum Systems reported a sales growth rate of 155 % compared to the previous year.

The startup's customers now use its drone platform for a wide variety of missions: from smart farming and volume calculation in open-pit mining to surveying work for large construction sites, real-time situational awareness, tactical mapping, and search and rescue (SAR) operations, the Munich-based company's solutions have already been deployed. Other use cases such as the transport of medicines and blood products have also been demonstrated. Florian Seibel, CEO and co-founder of Quantum-Systems, is therefore satisfied with the development of his startup:

"The strong customer response and investor interest are a tremendous validation of our technology and market opportunities. We are excited and grateful for the trust of our new investors. The investment from the 10x Group is a key milestone for Quantum Systems."

With the financing round of an unknown amount, the start-up intends to focus on expanding its global sales team, expanding its R&D capacities in the areas of autonomous flight and artificial intelligence, and further vertically integrating system-critical components of vertical takeoff and landing drones.

“We have identified Quantum Systems as the global market leader”

"The opportunities for professional, industrial-grade drones in the commercial and government markets are unprecedented in the coming years. We have identified Quantum Systems as the global leader in technology and products and look forward to supporting the management team in capitalizing on this tremendous opportunity,"

says Felix Haas, one of the partners of the 10x Group and responsible for Quantum-Systems. The startup is also benefiting from the new EU drone regulation for the future operation of drones, which recently successfully passed the German Bundestag. This definitively makes Germany the country with the most innovative regulatory framework in the world, as Quantum-Systems announced in a press release.
