How can journalism constructively and critically accompany the major transformations that lie ahead, for example, due to climate change? How will media content reach its users in the future? And how can podcasts finally earn good money? The media faces numerous challenges that they must solve to continue to fulfill their role in the future.
The Media Lab Bayern supports talented individuals who want to tackle these and other problems with the two-month R&D Fellowship. It offers support in the form of coaching in innovation methods and funding of up to €7,500. It also offers the opportunity to use a permanent workstation in one of the Media Lab's coworking spaces in Munich or Ansbach.
Application for the R&D Fellowship
Anyone interested in submitting their idea has until May 16th to do so. The only requirements are: They should already have several years of experience in the media industry and be able to devote themselves to the experiments part-time (up to a maximum of 30 hours per week) for approximately two months.
After the program, participants will have the opportunity to publish their results on a Media Lab platform, thus driving innovation in the media ecosystem. Participants will also have the chance to present their results at one of the Media Lab events. If a business model or collaboration with other media companies emerges, the Media Lab also offers support through one of its other programs.
