12 million euros for Studysmarter

Edtech startup Studysmarter has successfully completed its Series A financing round, raising approximately €12.3 million ($15 million). The round is led by two international investors, Owl Ventures from Silicon Valley and Left Lane Capital from New York. Also participating are business angels such as Lars Fjeldsoe-Nielsen and existing investors, including Dieter von Holtzbrinck Ventures (DvH Ventures). The young company plans to use the fresh capital, among other things, to further its international expansion.

Studysmarter is a comprehensive learning platform that combines the functionalities of many apps and tools: content management, content processing for creating interactive learning materials, statistics, and intelligent NLP algorithms. The platform is not tied to specific topics and can therefore be used by students and pupils of all disciplines.

“Central platform for learning worldwide”

"Many students drop out of their studies, and the challenges of the learning process play a crucial role here. That's why we founded Studysmarter as an intelligent platform that supports learners individually throughout their entire learning journey. Our platform enables a completely different approach to efficient digital education and successful outcomes for hundreds of millions of learners worldwide. With Owl and Left Lane, we have found the perfect partners who share our vision of becoming the central platform for lifelong learning worldwide."
