Companies of all industries and sizes can apply now until June 9The most important requirement: You have worked to make Munich a livable city in 2020 and made a significant contribution to education, the environment, health, integration, or combating social disadvantage. A company headquarters in Munich is not required; the decisive factor is that your social commitment has had a positive impact on Munich's urban society.
The jury, consisting of independent experts from the field of “social engagement,” examines the applications and the commitment, particularly with regard to sustainability, internal and external impact, role model function and creativity.
The award winners can then use the Engagement Award logo in their communications and are honored with a trophy and a certificate. Furthermore, the award-winning companies are automatically nominated for the German Engagement Award. This year, the award will be presented in four categories, based on company size and the number of employees. Last year, the winner in the "Micro-Enterprise" category was Munich startup Twostay, which provided freelancers with free coworking space.
The award is organized by the Corporate Engagement Team in the Social Affairs Department. Questions about it can be answered Philipp Weidenhammer via email.
