The City of Munich honors companies for exemplary social commitment and has created the "Munich's Outstanding Companies 2018" award. An application is possible until May 18th.
Many companies demonstrate a high level of social commitment. They support social projects and cultural events, release employees for volunteer work, provide pro bono services to non-profit organizations, or engage in other ways for the common good in Munich.
Therefore, the City of Munich would like to honor companies that demonstrated exemplary commitment to the well-being of Munich's residents in 2017 with the Commitment Award. In doing so, they also assumed a degree of responsibility for a vibrant and livable Munich.
Effective commitment is recognized
Large or small, newly founded or established—any company that has made a significant contribution in areas such as education, poverty, the environment, health, or migration, offering concrete help and solutions, is eligible to apply. It doesn't matter whether it's a retail, craft, industrial, or service-based company.
Examples of engagement can include fundraising campaigns or corporate volunteering. Or the provision of infrastructure, donations in kind, or services. The main thing is that the corporate engagement is effective.
It is also important that the commitment goes beyond the company’s core business.
The jury and categories of the Engagement Award
An independent jury makes a recommendation on the award, which is presented in four categories: micro-enterprises, small enterprises, medium-sized enterprises, and large enterprises. The award is presented by the Mayor of the City of Munich.
Applications can be submitted until May 18, 2018.
