Six startups and creative companies are given the opportunity by the City of Munich’s Culture and Creative Industries Competence Team to participate in the largest international culture and creative industries festival from March 16 to 20. This year, of course, the South by Southwest (SXSW) will not take place in Austin, but will be entirely digital, but it will certainly be no less exciting. SXSW's thematic focus is on interactive and tech, music, and film.
Perhaps this year's online edition of SXSW will be a particularly welcome opportunity for you to gain new input, further your education, get up to speed on the latest technology, and, of course, network. An online ticket grants you access to all of the festival's digital events.
Why do you want to be there?
Sounds good? Then here's the really good news: The Munich Culture and Creative Industries Competence Team is giving away six tickets for this year's SXSW. If you'd like to be there, send a meaningful letter of motivation by email to kreativ@muenchen.deYour letter should be no more than 2,000 characters without spaces and should address the following points:
- Why exactly should you attend South by Southwest?
- Why does it make sense for you to network there and get input right now?
- Which parts of the festival program do you think you can benefit from?
- What will particularly inspire you?
You should also include some information about your company (age, number of employees, revenue, industry) in your application. The Cultural and Creative Industries Competence Team will then let you know whether you're eligible.
One more announcement, if you're one of the lucky ones: Following your participation, the expert team would be delighted to receive your feedback. It's up to you how you'd like to provide it—as a podcast, as a social media post, or simply as text in an email.
